cracks in the pavement
take a moment. think about the word pavement. what do you think of? do you think of completion? do you think of trust? do you think of a future destination? to me, the word pavement has always just been an object. it is a man made pathway that aids in your travels from point a to point b. up until recently did i realize what pavement meant in the figurative sense. i realized that pavement is something that is permanent, something we can rely on. but with this pavement, we forget to mention that it comes with cracks. those cracks will hurt you if you don't avoid them.. you can find yourself falling down because of a twisted ankle (which I just did). this pavement wont always be a friend to you, but what matters is how you handle these hardships. this pavement can also lead you to great strengths if you continue to follow it. you just need to believe and persevere and realize that there is something positive to come out of all of your twisted ankles and falls.
